If you think...

that I don't have your current address and therefore cannot efficiently send you the glorious issue number FOUR of Jack Tar, please email me at kim(at)jacktarmagazine.com. This one features an exciting story by Kit Africa, a poem by the widely missed Krunch, some observations and words of wisdom from Bryce P., Jesika Starr, and JunkRaft crew Joel Paschal. Info about the next sailmaking class in PT is included as well.

In other news, I briefly hung out with sailors Elmo, JB and Otis yesterday. Heard that Shiny aka Captain James McClurg is an excellent tall ship captain (he just completed a contract aboard the Chieftain - the beloved "Jake" Jacobsen is taking over today). Last week, Andrew Mckee phoned after returning from work as a logistician for Doctors Without Borders in Africa and is preparing for an excellent summer in California - helping his love remodel her place, surfing, and... doing whatever the hell he wants... and at this point I would say he deserves to do just that. Also, I just watched a show on the History Channel about Blackbeard and I was trying to figure out what boat was used. Looks a lot like Lady Wa but isn't, so I'm thinking Sultana? I'm off to look it up...
